Ministry partners addressing “Poverty”:

Baptist Global Response

Baptist Global Response (BGR) is a global relief and development organization organized by Southern Baptists to connect people in need with people who care. BGR addresses acute problems such as disasters, wars, and epidemics, as well as chronic issues such as poverty, hunger, and poor health. BGR's "word and deed" initiatives will help you get involved in making a significant difference for needy people worldwide.

International Justice Mission

Inspired by God’s call to love all people and seek justice for the oppressed, IJM protects the poor from violence by rescuing victims, bringing the criminals to justice, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and helping local law enforcement build a safe future that lasts.

The Chalmers Center

The Chalmers Center equips churches with poverty alleviation approaches that point people who are poor to the reconciling work of Jesus Christ. As a result, the materially poor experience lasting spiritual, social, and financial transformation, rediscovering their God-given dignity and supporting themselves and their families.

Compassion International

In response to the Great Commission, Compassion exists as an advocate for children, to release them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.

Whether you are a church leader strategically growing disciples of Christ or an individual looking for ways to act on behalf of children in poverty, find  your niche.

Eternal Perspective Ministries

Eternal Perspective Ministries is a Bible-believing Christ-centered nonprofit organization with two goals: to teach the principles of God's Word, emphasizing an eternal viewpoint and to reach the needy in Christ's name, calling attention to the needs of the unreached, unfed, unclothed, unsheltered, unsupported, unborn, unreconciled, and untrained.

Global Hunger Relief

GHR(Global Hunger Relief) is an initiative of Southern Baptists that was formerly known as the World Hunger Fund. GHR-funded projects combat hunger in North America and around the world in a wide variety of ways, from from disaster relief to addressing chronic hunger, from eliminating urban food deserts to helping women rescued from sex trafficking—and much more.

The Footstool Project

Deep poverty affects every aspect of life for those living in the Himalayas of Nepal.  TFP holistically addresses the root causes that lead to the high rates of childhood mortality, disease, human trafficking, food insecurity, and illiteracy. We seek to improve the health of the people through sustainable clean water and sanitation projects, the development of health facilities, and health and hygiene education. We also work in the area of school development and teacher training to provide a brighter future for the villagers. As we address a multitude of physical needs, we can reverse some of the staggering statistics in these areas, while opening doors for the spread of the gospel into as-of-yet unreached areas.  Following the example of Jesus by meeting physical needs, engaging in humanitarian work is a platform by which we can introduce people to Christ.

NeverThirst' is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing clean and living ater to the poor through the local church.  Today almost a billion people on the planet live without access to safe drinking water. In our mission to provide clean and living water to the poor through the local church, it's people like you who care and give, sometimes sacrificially, to see families receive something as basic and necessary as clean water.  All of our water projects are done in partnership with a local church implementing our water projects in a way that best communicates the gospel to the local community.

Radical is a parachurch ministry that serves alongside the local church, providing multi-lingual biblical resources birthed in the context of a local church that we hope will support disciple-making in other local churches around the world. Radical serves these churches by providing resources in multiple languages, organizing events on multiple levels, and facilitating opportunities through multiple avenues that all aim to encourage followers of Christ in the global purpose God has designed for us as His people.

Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
